Burger King and Card Factory complete the retail mix at Northcott
DTZ McCombe Pierce has successfully secured high profile new tenants for the final two remaining retail units in the £35 million Northcott Shopping Centre redevelopment in Glengormley.
Burger King and Card Factory will join the anchor tenant, Tesco, to complete the leasing of all the retail units in phase 1 of the development scheme.
Speaking on behalf of commercial agents, DTZ McCombe Pierce, Michael Pierce said that the success of the first phase of the scheme was positive news for the local area.
“There’s no doubt that it’s a difficult time for the retail sector throughout Northern Ireland. However, the Northcott Shopping Centre phased development plan, one of only a few shopping centre developments completed in the province in 2012, appears to have hit the right note for the current economic climate.”
“With phase 1 now fully let to an exciting mix of high quality retail tenants, the developers are confident that the time is right to put the wheels in motion to progress with the creation of a further 13 additional units in 2013. This is good news for the local area both in terms of future job creation but also the arrival of more exciting retail names to the centre later this year.”
